Nato e cresciuto a Belgrado, Serbia, Vladimir Milivojevich (in arte Boogie) inizia la sua carriera di fotografo documentando le rivolte e gli scontri durante la guerra civile che ha distrutto il suo paese durante gli anni ’90, periodo in cui inizia la propria ricerca poetica attorno al lato oscuro dell’esesitenza umana. Nel 1998 si trasferice a New York dove tuttora vive, nel quartiere di Brooklin. Ha pubblicato cinque monografie IT’S ALL GOOD (powerHouse Books, 2006), BOOGIE (powerHouse Books, 2007), SAO PAULO (Upper Playground, 2008), ISTANBUL (Upper Playground, 2008) and BELGRADE BELONGS TO ME (powerHouse Books, 2008). E’ l’autore di campagne publicitarie per grandi marchi come Nike e Lee mentre i suoi servizi fotografici sono stati pubblicati da giornali e riviste conosciute a livello internazionale. Le sue recenti mostre personali includono Parigi, New York, Tokio, Istanbul. Il 5 febbraio 2009 è stata invece inaugurata a Milano la personale dal titolo “BOOGIE. 5 Days” negli spazi di Avantagarden Gallery. (avantgardengallery.com)

Boogie per Nike Sportswear a Milano
“I love Italy, and of course I love photography, and when those two come together it’s as good as it gets. Recently I did a shoot for NIKE SPORTSWEAR in Milano and I just got some photos yesterday of how the campaign looks on the streets and in the store. I love it!!
